Troubles With Code=227? - Guild Wars Forums

Hey everyone.

Today I tried to log into my GW account, but it said it didn't work because of 'Code=227'.

Code=227 : We don't recognize your account information. Please try again.

I, however, didn't change ANY of my account 'Remember Me?' information, so I don't know why I'm having troubles. I, then, went to 'Reset Password' to, of course, reset my password. It directed me to PlayNC to change my password on a PlayNC account, which, of course, I forgot my username and password since I made it 3 years ago specifically for Guild Wars, but this is the only time, I've actually needed to use it. I sent a ticket to support and it came back with this message:

The thing is though, that when I made my PlayNC account, I don't remember at all using my physical address for the sign-up of my account. I also don't really want to give 'Brad' my physical address because I don't really want someone (besides the post office, friends, family, nieghbors, bills, etc) nowing my street address espeically if it's from a Game Moderator... I began to think that I've been hacked by someone, but I've logged into my e-mail and it didn't notify me if my passwords been changed (even if it's been changed)

Thoughts?

i've had the same situation, if u provide your keys, name, and birth date, its enough for them to reset your password

took me 3 day for the reset,

Is there any way to find our what your PlayNC pass and name is, withour having to send your original fricken reciepts? Been trying to reset my lolly password for a year and a half now.

just tried resetting that password says to contact support, dunno if its talking about plaync support or GW support, if you only at least remember the account name youd be able to send it to you.

Ok I have put in every one of my Gw keys: EoTn, Nightfall,Factions, and the first one. and every time it says invalid. and have rechecked them ALOT. does it need a slash " - " or a space or what nothing is working...

put in ur keys where?
any dialogue box i can think of is bout adding -new- keys
so therefore typin in any old keys will say its currently in use

and there really is no harm in providing info and address to a company like anet
its no different from when u sign up at a school or gym or any type of class, etc etc

well i logged on to the ncsoft website. And nothing about changing a password ?? i got lost once i was signed in? :S

I am getting the same problem and tried resetting... still getting the error..

If you are requesting a change of password at the log in screen on Gw it will auto send a new pass to the Email that is affiliated to the account ...so check your Email it may be even in the Junk Folder ..

If you log in on your NC Master account and are successful then you have the option to change it there also look at what accounts are listed on the right hand side of the page

If it only 1 then you will be asked to enter a new password in the box area on the left to include your old password.

had the same code error last week. - took almost a week to get a password reset.

kinda hoping I got hacked tbh, otherwise gonna be seriously pissed with PlayNC as I now have no obby armor, cash, ectos or rares

Highlander Of Alba - I got frustrated with that NCsoft site.. I just went on the email than going that place.
